North Eastern Divisional Regional Council

The inaugural/biannual meeting of the Regional Council took place in the Imperial Hotel, Dundalk on the 30th November 2009. Divisional Organiser, Harry O’Brien gave reports on National and local Industrial Relation issues.
A presentation was made to Ms. Rosaleen O’Brien in recognition of her outstanding service to the union as shop steward in Dunnes Stores, Navan and as branch secretary in Navan for many years. A presentation was also made to Mr. Jimmy Martin who has been branch secretary in Dundalk for the past eighteen years and during that time has been very supportive of all union issues at local and national level.
The meeting agreed to elect the following officers:-
· Mr. John Callan, Regional Chairperson
· Mr. Jimmy Martin, Regional Secretary
· Ms. Mary O’Donnell, Vice Chairperson
· Mr. Dessie Finnegan, Mr. Charles O’Reilly and Ms. Rosaleen O’Brien committee members.
