Strike Settlement Terms at Blarney Woollen Mills - Bunratty.

The strike was resolved when it was agreed by both parties that a Rights Commissioner would decide on the exgratia compensation for the two chefs, with both parties accepting the decision and waiving their right to appeal.
The Right Commissioner awarded the 2nd chef €4,320 and the chef/manager €7,680. These payments were in addition to their statutory redundancy entitlements.
The money was finally paid out in August 2010, bringing this bitter dispute to an end.
