Strike starts at Blarney Woollen Mills - Bunratty.

An indefinite strike commenced at Blarney Woollen Mills, Bunratty today over the company decision to implement two cumpulsory redundancies without agreement. The Chef/ Manager and the 2nd Chef have been dismissed despite being key employees and having the longest service and contrary to the redundancy clause in the Blarney Group Company Handbook.
It is worth noting that the union won a significant Payment of Wages case against Blarney Woollen Mills over an unlawful deduction from the Chef/ Manager's pay.
