Mandate Trade Union plays a central role in setting terms and conditions of employment in the Retail Sector through its membership of the Joint Labour Committee under the auspises of the Labour Court. This committe sets the minimum terms and conditions that are to apply to workers in Retail in the Republic of Ireland.
In many instances Mandate members enjoy pay rates/terms and conditions above these minimum standards achieved through local collective bargaining. Brendan O'Hanlon represents Mandate on these committees.
